50 Wishes and Counting
April 13, 2013 – Merchant Services, an Alliance Partner of SBGA, is Recognized as the Region’s Largest Single Wish-Grantor as They Celebrate Their 50th Wish with a Little Boy Who Dreams Big
Jason is an easy-going little boy who enjoys playing with his twin brother, looking through photos and everything Disney. His favorite photos are those of a trip to China that his father and sister took. When it came time for Jason to choose his most heartfelt wish, he decided he wanted to go to China too and visit the Disneyland there.
Merchant Services partnered with the Make-a-Wish Foundation to give this little boy the adventure of a lifetime. Jason and his family soaked in the local Chinese culture with visits to Victoria Pier, Aberdeen Village and the Stanley Market. They also took an Ocean Park Tour and visited one the largest oceanariums in the world. At Disneyland Hong Kong, Jason enjoyed going on rides, comparing the park to the one in Anaheim, speaking Chinese at a special meet-and-greet with Mickey and Minnie and watching a special Chinese New Year parade.
Now Jason has photos and memories of his own trip to China that he can reflect on, hold dear and remember when he has challenging days.
“Giving to organizations like Make-A-Wish is at the core of our business philosophy” said Bob Parisi, Senior Vice President of Merchant Services. “We love helping to provide experiences that bring a bit of hope and joy to these kids and their families.”
Jason’s wish marks the 50th wish granted by Merchant Services. Jason’s family and the President and CEO of the Make-a-Wish Foundation of Orange County and the Inland Empire, Stephanie McCormack, joined Merchant Services to share Jason’s wish and celebrate in this accomplishment. During this heartfelt occasion, it was announced that Merchant Services is recognized as the region’s largest single wish-granter.
