Princess Evie’s Magical Wish
Huntington Beach, Calif.; Dec. 2012 – Merchant Services, an Alliance Partner of SBGA Teams Up with Make-A-Wish to Sponsor Young Girl’s Magical Trip to Disney World
Evie is an adorable little girl who loves playing with her little sister, lions, sunflowers, singing, and anything Disney. Her most heartfelt wish was to visit her favorite Disney character, Princess Ariel from The Little Mermaid, at Disney World.
A magical trip was arranged with star treatment for little Evie to escape her everyday battles with Mucopolysaccharidosis IVA. Evie and her family stayed at the Give the Kids the World Village, where Evie enjoyed daily gifts sent to her room, all day access to ice cream, horseback riding, and playing with the toys lining the walls of the gingerbread house. The most exciting part of her trip, however, was the personal hour Evie got to spend with Ariel. And the magic didn’t end there; later that day during the parade, Ariel made sure to send Evie a special signal and wave to her enthusiastically from the float.
“Thanks to the Make-A-Wish Foundation, children with life threatening medical conditions can experience things they might not normally have a chance to because of their illness or financial challenges,” said Nathan Jurczyk, Vice President of Merchant Services. “Make-A-Wish makes it possible for the whole family to be involved. It’s something they can look forward to and enjoy together as a family.”
Evie’s wish has given her and her family memories that they will never forget.
