Every Child Deserves a Toy
Irvine, Calif.; Dec. 2011 – Merchant Services, an Alliance Partner of SBGA, partnered with Spark of Love Toy Drive to collect toys for children in need this holiday season.
As part of their ongoing commitment to supporting organizations that help children and families in need, Merchant Services Irvine hosted their annual employee toy collection. Over the course of just two weeks, 76 toys were collected and donated to the Spark of Love Toy Drive.
“Our employees look forward to these opportunities to give back to the community throughout the year, but especially during the holiday season,” shared Bob Parisi, Senior Vice President of Merchant Services, adding “in addition to our regular corporate giving programs, we work to provide as many opportunities for our employees to become involved as possible.”
“It’s great working for a company that gives so much to the community throughout the year,” shared Eric Madura, Client Services Manager at Merchant Services. ”And I love that they give us the chance to help as well. Something as simple as bringing in a new toy for a child, and I know I am doing something to help make a difference – it’s a heartwarming feeling.”
Since its inception in 1995 Merchant Services has been committed to giving back to the community. Every year, thousands of children experience a Christmas morning with no gifts to open. To help tackle this crisis, ABC7 and Southland firefighters host the “Spark of Love Toy Drive.” With the love and support of “Spark of Love Toy Drive” donors and sponsors, children across Southern California will receive a new toy each holiday season.
