Packaging with a Purpose

April 13, 2013 – Employees of Merchant Services,  a SBGA Alliance Partner, volunteer with the Community Action Partnership of Orange County (CAPOC) to package food donations for children from low-income families and seniors.

Once again, Merchant Services enlisted a group of volunteers eager to give back to the community by helping those in need. Employees dedicated their time over the weekend to the Community Action Partnership of Orange County to package cases of food for children from low income families and seniors. The spirit of competition was alive and well as Merchant Services’ volunteers raced to see who could pack the most boxes, but the best part of the day was knowing that their efforts kept people from going hungry.

“It has been truly inspiring to see the level of enthusiasm and involvement our team members have shown while taking part in these volunteer opportunities,” shared Vice President of Merchant Services Nathan Jurczyk. “We have seen an overwhelming desire from our team to help those in need within our own community.”

The Merchant Services volunteers were able to assemble 2,440 cases of non-perishable food items. The company looks forward to working again with the Community Action Partnership of Orange County to assist others needing a helping hand.
